Open Roles at Plumtree CC


We are currently recruiting for several key positions to help the club grow and develop. From overseeing the development of open-age cricket across the club to helping generate much-needed revenue, these volunteer-based roles are essential to our future success.

Director of Cricket
Develop Open-Age, Women & Girls’ and Junior cricket across the club. The role holder will:

  • Deliver sustained success across all levels of club cricket through the development of a cricket strategy covering all sections of the club.
  • Work with the club’s Heads of Open Age, Junior and Women & Girls’ sections to implement that strategy.
  • Ensure our club values are embedded throughout, enabling Plums of all abilities to improve and love the game.

Head of Open Age Cricket
Lead all senior cricket activity within the club, working closely with our team captains, our Head Coach and Director of Cricket to create a positive, competitive environment that reflects the club’s values. This includes:

  • Setting the strategic direction for open age teams.
  • Ensuring strong links with junior cricket.
  • Leading on overseeing team performance and player recruitment.

Sponsorship & Fundraising Manager
Coordinate efforts across the club that generate revenue and ensure the club’s long-term financial sustainability. This includes:

  • Attracting new sponsors.
  • Coordinating community fundraisers.
  • Submitting grant funding applications.
  • Exploring new ideas for revenue generation.

Clubhouse Manager
Be at the centre of club life by helping to restore, maintain and develop our wonderful clubhouse. Coordinate repairs, manage hires, facilitate socials and help create an environment people love to return to.

Club Secretary
Serve as the club’s primary administrator - organising meetings, maintaining essential club records and act as the liaison between the committee, members, and leagues, ensuring compliance with constitution rules and ECB guidelines.

Bookkeeper
Key duties include recording income and expenses, processing payments, managing invoices and reconciling bank statements.

In addition to all of the above, we would also be very grateful for tradespeople – electricians, plumbers, etc… to help with clubhouse and ground maintenance.
